A frightening moment happened during Tool's set at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans this past Sunday night. During the set, a fan fell from the upper level of the arena falling to the ground below.

According to the New Orleans Advocate, a man either fell or jumped from the 300 level of the Smoothie King Center. Smoothie King Center event marking and media coordinator Sabrina Trahan said that they confirmed the fall of the fan and that a investigation is ongoing.

The fall happened during Tool's encore part of the set and was witnessed by freelance journalist Wesley Hodges. Hodges said:

It was scary. I caught it out of the corner of my eye. I saw a body coming down and heard a really loud crash. I saw him lying on the ground. There was chaos after that. People were screaming. I walked out. It was hard to focus on the concert after that.

Hodges said that security reacted quickly but he did not see what have became of the man. The band was unaware of the fall and continued on with the encore part of their set.
