St. Mary Parish Teen Arrested For Head-Butting Deputy

Monday after lunch, a 14-year-old girl at the St. Mary Parish Alternative School was arrested for allegedly hitting a teacher and a deputy.

The school's resource officer went to investigate in a classroom after a teacher was hit in the head by the girl.

The officer was arresting the girl when she allegedly head-butted another deputy who was helping the resource officer.

The teen was later released to her guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
