Slain Texas Radio Employee Identified As Crowley Native

Sherry Ruth Francis was found murdered outside of a Texas radio station.

Francis, a native of Crowley, La., was found by a co-worker this morning at around 5:45am outside of The Ranch Radio station in Kerrville, Texas.

Police say they have arrested Gilbert Manriquez for murder after he confessed to the crime.

Manriquez has no known affiliation to the radio station or Francis. They believe it was a random act of violence.

Francis has family in the Acadiana area. She worked at the radio station for a month.
