Scott Weiland's rep blames the bad show on a "perfect storm" of events.

First things first. Everyone we've heard from says that he was GREAT last night at The Varsity in Baton Rouge.

By now you've probably seen or heard about the bad show that Scott Weiland had in Texas earlier this week.

If not, here's the video in question.

With Weiland's past drug abuse, everyone immediately assumed it was a drug issue. Weiland's rep claims that drugs were not involved. The rep says it was a "perfect storm" of events.

The spokesperson agrees that it wasn't a shining moment for Weiland. The blame was on being tired, booze, and a bad ear piece.

Weiland was tired, enjoyed a few drinks before the show, and struggled with a faulty ear piece during the show, which, if you watch the video above, he doesn't have his ear piece in, so that claim seems legit.

What the rep said next seems to have been true because of the praise that we've heard about the show at The Varsity.

“Good news – we’ve overnighted him a brand new pair of earbuds and they will be there for his show in Baton Rouge tonight.”

And here he is singing "Vaseline" at The Varsity last night so you can put your own ear on it!
