The New Orleans Saints have been trying to improve on rushing the passer and hope they've made a dent in that need by acquiring defensive end from Miami for a conditional late round draft choice.

McCain was an undrafted free agent from Cal in 2014.  He played in 18 games with the Dolphins but never started a game.  He is known as a pass rushing specialist who needs to get better in defending the run.  The 6-5, 236 pounder also contributed on special teams.

McCain got caught up in a numbers game in Miami, a team with good depth on the defensive line.

On his Twitter account, McCain said he as "very grateful for this opportunity."

The Saints need to make some cuts in order to get to the 75 man NFL mandated limit by tomorrow.
