This year's Atlantic hurricane season, which kicks off June 1st, is predicted to be a quieter one.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released their predictions of this year's hurricane season, and it's looking to be a quieter than average season.

The NOAA estimates between six and 11 named tropical storms this season, with three to six hurricanes, and up to two major hurricanes.

As previously stated, hurricane season starts June 1st, but we've already seen Tropical Storm Ana earlier this month. Hurricane season runs through November 30th.

Two University of Colorado scientists, William Gray and Philip Klotzenbach, said back in April that they expect one of the least active hurricane seasons since the mid 20th century.
