Police are asking the public's assistance in trying to identify a man killed in a Friday morning shooting.

According to our news partner KATC, police responded to a call regarding a fight that was taking place on West Pinhook Road at about 2:15 a.m.

Witnesses told police a man and a woman were fighting in a parking lot when the pair fell to the ground. The woman then shot the man in the chest with a handgun. The man ran away, but was found by officers in another parking lot nearby.

Investigators interviewed the woman involved. No arrests have been made yet.
