Pikachu Statue Mysteriously Appears In NOLA’s Garden District

Pokemon GO, the app/game that has reinvigorated the franchise, is currently a worldwide phenomenon. Millions of people have been roaming outside like zombies, trying to catch them all! Pikachu, the face of the franchise and the most popular species of Pokemon, is the hardest to find and catch.

Pikachu somehow mysteriously appeared in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. A Pikachu statue, made out of fiberglass, but looks like bronze, was placed at a fountain in a park near the intersection of Terpsichore Street and Prytania Street.

It is unknown to who illegally put the statue in the fountain, which is known to be a hot Pokestop. Hopefully, the owners of the park allow the statue to remain on top of the defunct fountain.
