Hello, Nonpoint Nation. We are sad to report our lead guitarist Dave Lizzio will no longer be lead guitarist for Nonpoint. This parting is an amicable one, and Dave will ALWAYS be part of the Nonpoint family. We appreciate the last 3 years of hard work and commitment to our band and we wish Dave and his family the best in all of their future endeavors. Our many thanks to you Dave.. Nation in the meantime, please help us welcome our long time friend, BC Kochmit (Switched, Eye Empire) into the fold moving forward. Thank you Nonpoint Nation for your understanding and positive support through this transition.

Meanwhile, Lizzio offered is own thoughts on the split, stating he was "heartbroken" that it had to happen. He added that it was not a decision that was made lightly, with both he and the band having their own difficulty in coming to terms with the idea to go their separate ways. Lizzio's statement can be read below:

To all of my Nonpoint fans, friends, and family.
I know that there has recently been a lot of speculation, question, worry, and concern regarding my current position with the band. And to clarify, once and for all - I am very, very heartbroken to acknowledge that I am no longer going to be the lead guitarist for this incredible band.
Please understand that this decision was not an easy one for myself or anyone in the band to have to deal with, but it was determined to be necessary and I completely understand why it needed to happen. The details, as you can imagine, touched a variety of professional facets and I hope you all realize that these cannot all be "public" details in many cases, and I sincerely wish that you all respect that.
I am, and always will be, on good terms with my brothers in Nonpoint and I can only hope that this new album continues to propel them even further along their musical career, morseo than ever before. I am so proud of the work we all did on this new album and I can't wait to share it with all of you. I hope you a continue to support them with the same tenacity and love you all gave me personally.
You've become more than fans to me - you're a part of my history, my life story, my wife's and even my daughter's, and I'll never ever forget the relationships and friendships we've built. Thank you all for taking the time to let me be a part of your life, and please feel welcome to continue to be a part of mine, moving forward. Nothing would make me happier! Thank you all, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart.
Much love, everyone.
-Dave Lizzio
