In the embarrassing loss to the Eagles yesterday, Saints Veteran wide receiver Marques Colston landed hard on his right shoulder early in the game.

Colston stayed in the game, but ended up heading to the locker room in the 4th quarter. He was seen walking out of the locker room wearing a sling on his right arm.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Colston suffered at least a separated shoulder, though there could be more structural damage.

He is expected to have an MRI done some time today (10/12).

With the Saints having a short week, and the (although I hate saying it) beast of a team that is the Atlanta Falcons, it is unlikely that Colston will play this Thursday. We will keep our ears peeled for updates on his injury.

I'm not sure this news will make a difference for this Saints team, that's quite obviously struggling on offense. He's not the explosive wide receiver he once was, having 18 catches for 200 yards and no touchdowns in five games.
