Manhunt Underway For Man Who Set Woman On Fire – Police Asking For Your Help

Claiborne Parish Police are searching for Sam Wyrick of Homer who is accused of setting a woman on fire in a fit of jealous rage.

"Officers with the Homer police say the incident took place Saturday, just after 2:30 p.m. at an apartment complex in Homer. Police say the cause of the incident was from a jealous rage when the suspect found out a 47-year-old woman was visiting another man's apartment."

The victim is said to be in critical condition in a Shereveport hospital.

Wyrick faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and aggravated arson. Anyone with information on this incident or Wyrick's whereabouts is urged to call Homer police at (318) 927-4000.
