Louisiana Restaurant Offers 10% Discount To Armed Customers

Bergeron's Restaurant in Port Allen, Louisiana will give you 10% off of your purchase if you're packin heat!

Owner Kevin Cox says,

"As long as everybody has a gun, we’re all the same size.
I keep hearing so much about people banning guns,” Mr. Cox told a local NBC affiliate. “Target’s banning guns and these people are banning guns. Don’t they realize that that’s where people with guns are going to go? I want to take the opposite approach. How can I make my place safer?”

The discount started with police officers, but expanded after civilian customers started asking if they could bring in their guns, and get the discount too.

One customer, who brought in her .38 Smith and Wesson, had this to say,

“If somebody walked in here with a gun and wanted to hurt us, we’re not defenseless,”

Cox says he gives out about 15-20 discounts per day.
