Louisiana is quickly becoming known as "Hollywood South". And rightfully so, as quite a few TV shows filmed here are getting Emmy nods, including, not surprisingly, HBO's True Detective.

Along with True Detective, HBO's show that ended it's run in December, Treme, and FX show American Horror Story: Coven, were also among top Emmy nominated shows. All of which were filmed in Louisiana.

True Detective is expected to be a strong contender during the Emmy's this year. It was nominated for best drama series, Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey were both nominated for best actor, as well as writing, directing, editing, cinematography, makeup, casting, music and art direction.

Treme was nominated for best miniseries. Creators David Simon and Eric Overmyer also earned a writing nomination. Casting and sound mixing were two more nominations for the series.

American Horror Story: Coven was nominated for best mini series, art direction, costuming, sound, makeup hair styling and casting. The writers were nominated, as were Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson for outstanding lead actress in a miniseries or movie.

Other movies, documentaries, and reality shows were nominated as well.
