Lafayette Police Department Arrest Teen Who Made Threat Towards Schools

The Lafayette Police Department announced Friday afternoon that they have made an arrest in the case in which involved a threat towards Lafayette Parish Schools.

The threat was made via email and sent to the Lafayette Parish School Board. After a short investigation into the matter, police were able to identify and locate the suspect who allegedly sent the email.

The suspect is a 13-year-old white male and he been charged with one count of Terrorism.

Earlier today we had a story involving threats towards schools via social media involving clowns. At this time we are not sure if these two cases are related.
