Jury Reaches Verdict In Jerry Sandusky Trial

A jury has reached a verdict in the Jerry Sandusky trial. He has been found guilty on 45 of 48 charges of child sex abuse in the Penn State sex scandal. Sandusky was the assistant coach for the Penn State football team and has been accused by many people of sexual abuse. The whole scandal even led to the firing of legendary football coach Joe Paterno.
There were cries of loud applause outside of the courthouse as the verdict was announced. According to Yahoo News, Judge John Cleland had issued a ruling banning those in the Centre County, Pa., courtroom from communicating the verdict to anyone outside the courtroom until all 48 counts are read and court is adjourned.
Now that he is found guilty, he now faces the rest of his life behind bars.
