Of the many films Warner Bros. is bringing to Comic-Con 2016, Kong: Skull Island is particularly intriguing — mostly because we haven’t seen much (at all) from the studio’s revival of the iconic monster. WB is reportedly planning to unleash the first teaser trailer in Hall H tomorrow afternoon, but until then, you can check out the first official poster, which depicts a familiar face lurking in the background.

We’ve only seen a couple of official photos from Kong: Skull Island, both of which prominently featured a boneyard and a giant skull. You can see that skull in the new teaser poster from Comic-Con below, which boasts the tagline “Awaken the King”:

At first glance, you might not notice King Kong himself looming above the fog, which is a nice, foreboding touch. It’s also bit more colorful than the photos we’ve seen, but you shouldn’t expect the actual film to resemble this poster too much. As for the solider standing atop the skull, it was recently revealed that the story takes place during the Vietnam War era, which should make for an interesting dynamic:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Kong: Skull Island” reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kings of Summer), Kong: Skull Island stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell, and hits theaters on March 10, 2017.
