Drew Brees returned to San Diego for the first time in 11 years and the Saints quarterback delivered an emotional pre-game speech.

The team rallied around Brees who stood in the exact spot where he injured his shoulder while trying to recover a fumble in a meaningless game as quarterback for the Chargers back in 2004. San Diego would release Brees who feared the injury would be the end of his football career.

Until the Saints gave him a call to join Sean Payton in New Orleans and the rest is history.

Granted, the Saints aren't playing too hot as of late, Brees' numbers have remained consistent and at a high level. At age 37 it seems as if Drew still has a good bit left in the tank, but first we've got to win.

Let's see if Brees can come out on top over his old team.
