Since Peyton Manning announced his retirement from the NFL, the New Orleans Saints now have the active leader in passing, completions and more in quarterback Drew Brees.

Drew Brees has thrown for 60,903, which puts him as the active leader in passing. He's tied with Tom Brady for active touchdown passes at 428. Drew is now the active leader in completions at 5,365, attempts at 8,085 and interceptions at 205.

Manning retired with 71,940 yards and 539 touchdowns in 18 seasons. Drew has been in the league for 14 years. For him to surpass Manning is realistic, if he stays healthy, and at his current productive rate.

Drew is behind Peyton's record by 11,038 yards. In order to surpass Manning's career record, Drew would need an average of 3,680 yards in three seasons (assuming he'll retire at 40).

If Drew is expected to do all of this in a Saints jersey, he'll need a contract extension, as his current contract expires after this upcoming season.
