Hard rock fans can add another great festival to their must-see list this spring when Fort Myers, Fla. hosts the inaugural Fort Rock Festival. The lineup for this year's event features such top acts as the Offspring, 3 Doors Down and Stone Sour leading the way.
In perhaps what will serve as the most evil music festival of all time, Pantera / Down vocalist Philip H. Anselmo has collaborated with famed true crime author Corey Mitchell to create the three-day Housecore Horror Film & Metal Festival. The experimental and must-see festival promises to combine live music from some of metal's biggest acts, along with over 70 screenings of horror, true crime and heavy metal films.
Bad news for Cradle of Filth fans in North America … the British extreme metal band have been forced to cancel their upcoming tour with the Faceless, Decapitated and the Agonist. According to an official statement from Cradle of Filth, the cancellation is due to immigration issues that are "beyond the band's control."
All That Remains will chew up a lot of pavement in the coming months, as the band has just announced a Western U.S trek that will precede all of their festival touring this spring. The group will have an alternating list of support acts on the run, with Hellyeah and Nonpoint playing a majority of the tour, and In This Moment subbing in on select dates.

Last night was Video Games Live at the Heymann Center, which is a multimedia video game music concert. Before the show, they held a Guitar Hero contest and the winner was allowed to perform on stage with the orchestra. The winner was Jason Simoneaux, who is visually impaired. He performed 'The Pretender' by the Foo Fighters and received a standing ovation.
