Bridge Collapses In Texas – 1 Dead, Multiple Injured

An 18-wheeler hit a support beam of a bridge that was under construction, causing it to collapse.

At least one person is dead, and multiple were injured, three of which have been reported as serious.

The accident took place on I-35 in Solado, Texas, about 50 miles north of Austin.

"The impact caused a few beams of the bridge that was under construction to fall," said Veronica Beyer, a spokeswoman with the Texas Department of Transportation.
