Baker turned actor, Dwight Henry, who's debut performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild rose him to prominence, is being eyed in a 2006 New Orleans killing.

Leroy Paige was stabbed to death outside of his apartment building in a Bywater neighborhood in New Orleans on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 5th) 2006. Henry was the main suspect in the stabbing, but the case was dropped.

Prosecutors are now saying they don't know why the case was dropped. It was handled by a previous administration that was less aggressive in prosecuting violent violent crime.

Dwight Henry was arrested last week for robbery, after he allegedly stole $270 from the cash register of the bakery at which he used to work. This brought the 2006 stabbing case to light.

Prosecutors aren't sure when they will decide whether to charge Henry in the stabbing case. Louisiana doesn't have a statute of limitations for murder cases.

Henry's cousin, Troy Henry, who is a former New Orleans mayoral candidate, says that the stabbing was done in self defense.

Henry also had a role in 12 Years A Slave, and is slated to appear Marvin Gaye, Sr. in the upcoming Marvin Gaye biopic, Sexual Healing.
