Phil Anselmo Issues Video Update During Hurricane Isaac [NSFW-Video]
Down frontman and metal icon Philip Anselmo issued a video update while smack dab in the middle of Hurricane Isaac in Louisiana. Anselmo initially issued the clip a few days ago, but the audio quality was poor and indiscernible. It has since been republished with better audio quality. Of course, Anselmo’s description of the storm was peppered with eff bombs, but he provided a first-person perspective, and one that is uniquely Anselmo, of what life is like during a hurricane.

Deftones Announce New Album ‘Koi No Yokan’ + Fall 2012 Tour With Scars On Broadway
Deftones have confirmed that their seventh studio album is titled ‘Koi No Yokan,’ and it will be released on Nov. 13. The ‘Tones, who spent a chunk of their summer on the road with System of a Down, will support ‘Koi No Yokan’ with a headline tour. They will be joined by special guests Scars on Broadway, featuring SOAD guitarist Daron Malakian.

Phil Anselmo Discusses New Down EP, Reveals Cover Songs May Exist In Pantera Vaults
Philip Anselmo is gearing up for the release of Down‘s upcoming ‘Down IV Part I – The Purple EP‘ on Sept. 18, and he insists that none of the members of the NOLA sludge band put any pressure on themselves regarding the release. He also shared that while the Pantera vaults have been emptied as a result of the 20th anniversary reissues of ‘Cowboys From Hell’ and ‘Vulgar Display of Power,’ he did reveal that some interesting cover songs still exist somewhere and if the right amount of digging is done, they could be unearthed.
