UL Sends Text To Students After Man Threatens To Commit Suicide On Campus
There was a scare on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette today. The university send out a mass alert text to students earlier this morning because they wanted to warn students about a man who was on campus with a gun. The alert has now been rescinded because everything is now okay.

According to the Lafayette Police Department, someone called into police that they were going to take their own life near St. Mary and Johnston streets. A viewer-submitted photo, however, shows police responding at the corner of St. Julien and Johnston streets.
Police have since sent a second alert to students and faculty saying that authorities are on scene and everyone is safe.
